Yesterday, I went to Canadian Tire http://www.canadiantire.ca/ & purchased some blades for the jigsaw & a 3-pack of chisels. My father says that there is nothing like owning a good, sharp chisel when you need it!
Later on, my Dad brought over the rest of the lumber I needed for my workbench project: some 2x4's for the support, 4x4's for the legs, & some odd pieces for the top.
We began by attaching the bottom supports to 2 of the legs using 31/2" deck screws, continuing with supports for all 4 legs on the top & bottom. Next, we added the top pieces using 3" deck screws from Home Hardware in Penetang. http://www.homehardware.ca
I then lightly sanded the top & my workbench is complete!
***The one thing I learned about this project was LEVELING. Everything had to be level before fastening. If I would've done this alone, I know for sure that it would be a wobbly mess right now! Thanks Dad!
